  • What is the reason for the one-time registration fee?

    For both Shine Dental and Shine Complete, there is a one-time, $15.00 registration fee. This one-time fee is required by our provider network to create an account for you and register your membership ID with our network. You will only pay this fee one time even if you pause your membership. Please note that if you cancel your membership, you will need to pay the one-time registration fee again. This fee is non-refundable.

  • Are there any states or regions where Shine cannot be used?

    Due to state laws, Shine Memberships (as well as all other Dental Savings Plans) are not available in Alaska, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, or Washington.

  • How do I see all my Shine discounts on Smile Brilliant products?

    Exclusive pricing on every Smile Brilliant product is available to Shine Members. To view your exclusive pricing, you will need to log into your account and click the “Shine Discounts” tab. You will see a complete list of all the Smile Brilliant products and your discounts will be visible. There is no need to apply coupon codes at checkout.   • What is the cancellation policy?

    Shine has no long-term commitments and you may cancel at any time. Our memberships are offered on a month to month basis (charged every 30 days) or can be purchased as an annual membership for a larger discount. Please note that if you purchased a Shine membership with discount pricing and later decide to cancel your membership, You have the right to cancel this plan within 30 days of the activation date for a full refund with the exception of the standard processing fee. Residents of AR, TN, and MD are eligible for a full refund including the standard processing fee. Such refunds will be issued within 30 days of request.

  • What should I do before visiting a provider?

    Always call to verify provider participation and pricing prior to arriving. Your provider will need to verify your membership prior to your arrival.

  • How do I see the providers that accept Shine?

    You can search our complete list of providers for dental, pharmacies and vision centers here below. You are able to search by zip or using GPS.

    Important! The list of available providers changes over time. Further, the discounts and available offers made by each provider may also differ. Before arriving at any of our provider locations, please call to confirm participation and pricing.

  • Who can use my Shine Membership?

    Shine memberships are offered as individual, couple, or family plans.

    Individual Plans – Can be used by a single person whose name is registered with Shine and displayed on the card.

    Couples – This membership can be used by any 2 individuals whose names have been registered. The first individual will be the primary holder (generally the individual who purchased the card). The second member can be a spouse, friend, dependent, or even a neighbor. You are free to add whoever you like as your 2nd member so long as that person is registered with your Shine account.

    Families – Family plans include up to 5 members. These members can be spouses, siblings, or dependents. However, for each of them to take advantage of their Shine savings, they must be registered within your account.

  • How does Shine get all these discounts?

  • Is there a wait time to use Shine after I sign up?

  • How does the Shine Wellness Savings Program work?

    As a Shine member, you will receive a member ID and membership card just as you would with health benefit providers. You will show this membership card to any of the providers (dental, pharmacy, or vision) within our network (search for a provider here). The provider will verify your membership and offer you the specified discounts for your membership type and geographic region.

    As a Shine member who also has dental insurance, here are just a few of the ways our clients are taking full advantage of the discounts we provide: Oral Care products - Getting discounts on products for bad breath, better oral hygiene, brushing, and flossers is difficult. Shine offers up to 70% off on these products. High priced dental procedures - After an individual has exhausted their dental insurance “Annual Maximum” (Normally between $1500 - $2500 /year), all other expenses are paid out of pocket. For this reason, procedures like surgeries, implants, orthodontics, etc would come out of pocket. With Shine you will receive your full Shine discount on all expenses after exhausting your annual maximums. Night Guards - Bruxism and teeth clenching/grinding is a growing epidemic in the US. However, very few dental insurance plans cover the cost of a night Guard. When the average dentist will charge up to $450 for a night guard, Shine offers custom-fitted, dental lab direct, night guards for more than 70% off.   • Why would I want a Shine membership if I already have dental insurance?

    Great question! There are several reasons why a person with dental insurance would also want to get a Shine Dental Savings Plan account. Unlike medical insurance, traditional dental insurance has what is known as an “annual maximum.” This means that your dental insurance will only cover up to a certain amount of dental bills in a given year (generally $1500 - $2500). After you have spent this amount, any additional dental bills will be paid out of pocket. For this reason, individuals who expect to have large dental bills coming up (e.g. surgeries, implants, etc) can use their Shine membership to save on larger bills. Additionally, dental insurance does not cover a lot of products and procedures you want and need most. As an example, teeth whitening, night guards, and necessary oral care products are not covered under most dental insurance plans. However, Shine offers up to 70% off on these products as well as free shipping, extended warranties, and exclusive discounts on reorders. No other dental insurance provider OR Savings Plan offers such discounts.
